Kat Surth was born two weeks early in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1980 and wasn't expected to live. The new nurse on duty accidently cut Surth's tiny left shouldar open when the nurse was going to cut the imbilical cord. Surth spent two weeks in an incubator and has been a fighter ever since. Continuing to "beat the odds" and growing up as "poor white trash," as some people liked to call her and her family growing up, Surth rised herself above that and has succeeded in many things like people never thought she would be able to, such as finishing high school, becoming a published writer, and model and film maker. Once she completes college next year, she will be the first one in her family to do so and the only one from her circle of past friends. It's ironic from a woman who swore she hated school and would never see herself in college. But things change and college brings new knowledge to the thirsty soul.

More about Surth's younger life -- she always loved reading and beganing writing books at a very young age. She began writing and illustrating short stories that she would show to her mother and librarians at her school. At age 16, Surth had an article accepted for publication at a magazine. Since then, Surth has had several things published under three different names.

Although Surth was considered somewhat of a dork up until high school, Surth had a several close friends and boyfriends. Her friends were also "outsiders" like her.

It became evident that Surth was bored with and hated school; she skipped class on several occassions. Even so, she still achieved the "A-honor roll" for every semester except the first two. Surth continued to keep the high standard for the first year at each of the colleges she attended.

During her third year of college, Surth dropped out as her modeling career as a fetish model took off rapidly in 2001. She was flown to places such as Los Angeles, Californa and to Miami, Florida for photo shoots. Then in 2002, another photographer would change her life drastically and helped to make Surth who she is today came into Surth's life. Early February 2002, Surth shaved her head bald for the first time...and loved it.

Why would Surth do something like this and risk her modeling career? Surth believed in taking risks in life; life isn't worth living if you can't explore and take risks to find out more about yourself and who you really are as a person. Everything, good or bad, happens for a reason. And although it may not seem like it at the time, everything always happens for the best (unless of course you do something illegal like killing someone). And Surth would rather be a leader than a follower. Why be a sheep when you can be a leader?

Due to a complicated pregnancy in 2002, Surth wasn't able to keep the bald look for every long or model very much. There were only four very lucky photographers who were able to capture Surth's beautiful growing belly on (digital) film.

So instead of modeling during the year or two Surth took off from modeling to be with her son, she took up photography and started her Bad Bambi photo series. Already her some of her work has been a art event, a college art fair where one photo won 2nd place, and a gallery in January 2006 will be solely featuring her work.

By 2004, Surth was missing the feeling of having no hair. When her truck quit working in winter, Surth decided it was time to get her long blond hair to pay for a new car. Surth contacted a videographer, who was recommended to her by several of her fans, to pay her to get her hair shaved off. From this experience, Surth was inspired to make her own films and to start a new website, BaldGirlz.com.

Now today, Surth is a bald model, film maker, mother, college student, and webmistress. Surth doesn't know what is going to happen after she gets out of college in the spring of 2006, but she's excited about it. She's sure that success will follow her anywhere.

Are you attracted to guys who shave their head?
I enjoy touching and caressing guy's heads when they have a little bit of stubble, probably about a week's growth. I love that rough feel against my skin.

Have you ever shaved another girl's head? If not, do you want to sometime?
I've cut another woman's hair short and got another woman's head smooth with an electric razor, but I've yet to do the old method of lather and razor. I think it would be fun, but will only shave another woman when she asks me. And I do whatever she would ask. I would never want to make her feel uncomfortable. I believe that a woman getting her head shaved smooth is like her stripping all the clothes off and becoming naked. There is always that unknowing, nervousness, and excitement the first time a woman shaves her head (or has her head shaved smooth). I think I would go as far to say that it is like feeling a person experiencing sex for the first time. They never know what to expect. It can be a good experience or a bad one. I'd hope I make them all good. :)
